Terms
The terms of using Bizfari
Being listed is free. Fixing what we have wrong is free. Claiming your own listing is free. The tools that bring you work are paid, and priced in the open. Everything else on this page is the ordinary business of running a website.
Who you are agreeing with
Bizfari is published by Powers Advertising, Knoxville, Tennessee. Using the site means you accept what is on this page. If you do not, the remedy is to stop using it.
What is free, and stays free
Appearing in the directory is free. Correcting your own information is free. Claiming your listing so that you control it is free. Posting a job is free. None of that is a trial and none of it converts into a bill.
Paid plans add the things that bring you work: the contact button on your page, offers you can run, placement, and advertising. What each one costs is written on the pricing page before you buy it, and nowhere else.
Anyone who claimed or paid before the packaging changed keeps what they had, at no charge, for as long as the listing exists. That is a promise we intend to keep rather than a period we intend to end.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; what happens under your account is yours. Claim a listing only for a business you actually run or are authorized to speak for. Claiming a business that is not yours is the one thing here that will get an account closed without discussion.
What you put on the site
Your listing text, your photos, your offers and your job postings stay yours. By putting them here you give us permission to publish them on Bizfari and to show them in search results, previews and our own social posts. That permission ends when you take the content down, except for copies already cached by somebody else.
Upload photographs of your work, your premises, your team and your products — and only images you have the right to use. Uploads are checked automatically before they appear. If a check goes against you and you believe it is wrong, write to hello@bizfari.com and a person will look.
Paying and stopping
Paid plans bill monthly through Stripe until you cancel. Cancel from your dashboard whenever you like; the plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for and does not renew. Prices can change, and if yours changes you get notice before the charge, not after.
Charges are refundable when something did not work, and we would rather refund than argue. Ask.
The data in the directory
Listings come from public and commercially available business data. Business facts — a name, an address, a phone number — are not ours to own and we make no claim on them. The way this site organizes, writes about and presents them is ours, and scraping the directory wholesale is not permitted. Neither is using it to build a mailing or calling list.
Some articles and summaries here are drafted by software from that business data. We do not publish invented facts on purpose, and when a published fact turns out to be wrong we would like to hear about it at fix@bizfari.com.
What we do not promise
We do not promise traffic, leads, customers, rankings or results. We will not tell you a number we cannot stand behind, and nobody selling you a directory listing can honestly promise one.
We do not vet the businesses in the directory. A listing is not a recommendation, a license check or a guarantee of anything. Whatever you hire someone to do, the dealing is between you and them.
The site is provided as it is. We keep it up and running with real effort and no warranty. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to Bizfari is limited to what you actually paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages.
Taking things down
Ask us to remove your listing and we remove it — no proof of ownership required to take one down, only to edit one. Email fix@bizfari.com.
If something here infringes your copyright, send the usual notice to hello@bizfari.com: identify the work, identify what on our site you say infringes it, give us a way to reach you, and state that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized. We act on notices that are complete.
We can remove content or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not yours, the unused portion comes back to you.
Changes and the rest
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and a change that affects a paid plan comes with an email. Tennessee law governs any dispute, and the courts in Knox County, Tennessee are where it would be heard.
